[Class 38 (i)] [See also Group XI] A mounting for an electric lamp 10 comprises, on a reflector 21, a seating surface 23 with an opening for the lamp base 13, spring-pressed pins 25 passing through openings in the seating surface and engaging a flange 17 secured to the lamp base, and a socket 30 on the back of the seating surface carrying one or more spring- pressed terminal contacts 35, 36. The seating 23 is in a recess 22 at the rear of the reflector. The flange 17 on the lamp base has unequally spaced arcuate slots 20, Fig. 3, each with one end larger than the other, for the reception of the pins 25. As described in Specification 425,653, [Group XI], the arrangement is such that the lamp is accurately in focus when in position. The socket 30 carries the pins 25 which pass through a flange 31 on the socket and through a ring 32 which is pressed rearwardly by a spring 34. The socket 30 is held at the rear of the reflector by spring clips 44 engaging in slots in the reflector and in pockets in a flange 50 on the flange 31. In another form, the pins are carried directly by the seating at the rear of the reflector and the socket carrying the contacts is attached to the reflector by the outwardly bent ends of fingers on the socket engaging in slots on a flange extending from the opening in the seating.
