Abstract
514,147. Spray carburetters. BAYERISCHE MOTOREN WERKE AKT.-GES. Dec. 19, 1938, No. 36950. Convention date, Dec. 18, 1937. [Class 7 (iii)] In a carburetter in which the fuel supply is regulated by a counter current of air controlled by a valve 6 actuated by a pressure responsive device open to the mixing chamber, the tendency of the device to reduce the fuel supply when the throttle is opened and the pressure in the mixing chamber thereby reduced is counteracted by providing an air throttle 2 controlled by a pressure-sensitive device 3 exposed to the induction pipe adjacent the mixture throttle valve the opening of which causes a corresponding opening of the air throttle and increased pressure in the mixing chamber.
