[Class 46] [Also in Group XIII] A filter for incorporation in a plate-type heat-exchanger includes a frame 13 having ports for the passage therethrough of a heating or cooling fluid and supporting a filter cloth 62, said frame and cloth being enclosed by perforate plates 12, 14. The liquid, e.g. milk, to be treated is admitted through the passage 44 into the space 60 within the frame and passes outwardly through the filter cloth and the perforate plates. In a modification, the frame is formed with a milk inlet slot 82, Fig. 5. Specification 500,811 is referred to.
