[Class 64 (iii)] In a plate heat-exchanger, e.g. for pasteurizing milk, water or other heating liquid is circulated through the heating-spaces by a steam injector 33. The overflow from the upper ends of the spaces returns to the injector through a pipe 36 having an overflow 38. In a modification, the end-plate of the exchanger is provided with a water space 22, Fig. 3, having an injector 25 communicating with a port 30 connected to the heating-spaces.
