[Class 52 (iii)] A leg joint for a folding table or the like of the kind ,described in Specification 361,783 comprises a channel plate h adapted to be fixed to the frame i of the table &'c., a channelled abutment plate. g embracing the upper part of the leg e, and pivotally mounted within the channel plate h, a lever catch a pivoted at b within the abutment plate and disposed within a transverse slot in the leg, a finger-piece a<1> formed, on the inner end of the catch arm, a spring c located within a recess d in the leg and bearing upon the finger-piece, and a notch g<1> in the lower edge of the abutment plate. In the extended position of the leg the outer .end of the catch arm a engages the fixed channel plate h. The leg is recessed at f for access to the finger-piece.
