Abstract

497,498. Cylinders: ALBION MOTORS, Ltd., FULTON, H. W., and STEAD, E. B. Aug. 27, 1937, No. 23482. [Class 7 (ii)] A curved convergent admission passage 3 descends through the cylinder head as shown, the last part A<1> of the outer wall being straight and inclined towards a line B<2> drawn through the valve seat 2 tangential to the inner wall. The valve seat is eccentric to the cylinder axis and the passage 3 is arranged to produce maximum vertical motion and turbulence in the cylinder.
