[Class 7 (ii)] The accessories of a radial cylinder engine are mounted in a casing 6 thermally insulated by ribs 5 from the engine cylinders. Air is induced between the ribs 5 by the fan 8 and thence into the cylinder jacket 4, and also cools the exposed part of the driving shaft 1a.
