493,431. Cooling cylinders. ZAVODY RINGHOFFER-TATRA AKCIOVA SPOLECNOST. May 9, 1938, No. 13843. Convention date, June 11, 1937. [Class 7 (ii)] In an air-cooled engine having opposed cylinders 2, 3, the cooling-air fan or blower 4 is located over one cylinder or row of cylinders, and connected to the cylinders by direct conduits 5, 6 for the cooling-air ; space is thus left for the other engine accessories, e.g. the carburetter. When there are several cylinders in each row, one blower is preferably provided for each pair, the blowers being all arranged on one side, or, alternatively, on alternate sides of the crankcase.
