Abstract

480,913. Firearms. SANDERS SMALL ARMS, Ltd., and SANDERS, T. F. Feb. 18, 1937, No. 4891. [Class 119] A trigger mechanism for a recoil loading firearm of the fixed barrel type comprises a trigger 3 containing a spring plunger 13 adapted to engage a ledge 20 on a sear 5 which holds the hammer 1 at cock, and an oblique guide 18 for drawing the plunger back when the trigger is pulled, so that when the hammer is released the sear is also released from the plunger and a double discharge prevented. The plunger has a transverse pin 16 passing through a slot in the trigger and co-operating with the oblique guide 18. The sear and the trigger are mounted on the same pivot 4.
