Abstract

210,270. Hale, A. T. C., and Parker & Co., Ltd., A. G. Jan. 17, 1923. Adapting for miniature ammunition; sights.- A revolver is adapted for sub-calibre ammunition by a lining tube 1 inserted in the barrel and an auxiliary revolving cylinder 18 replacing the usual cylinder. The lining tube 1 has an enlargement 5 at the breech end projecting beyond the end of the barrel and at the front is secured by a nut 9. The rear enlargement carries two uprights 14, Fig. 3, fitting around a top rib 16 on the barrel and carrying a back-sight 17. The auxiliary cylinder 18 is shorter than the usual cylinder by the thickness of the projection 5 on the lining tube. For rim-fire cartridges, the bore in the lining tube may be eccentric, or the chambers in the cylinder may be set at an angle, as shown in Fig. 7.
