Abstract

475,591. Pipe joints. BERRY, H. H., and MARKHAM, W. J. June 29, 1936, No. 18005. [Class 99 (i)] A fitting for attaching a tube to a tank of which the interior is inaccessible comprises a flanged sleeve 8 and a ring 2, the circular ring and flange having segments cut away so that they can be passed through a hole in the tank which is smaller than the circular collar formed by the combined ring and flange. The flange and ring have segmental projections 10, 11 so that a flat surface is provided. The joint is completed by a rubber gasket on each side of the tank wall, a metal washer and a nut screwing on to the sleeve into which the tube is screwed.
