Abstract

[Class 40 (iii)] A trapezoidal image of an object 3, Fig. 3, is produced on a cathode ray screen 1 by a lens 4 co-operating with inclined plane mirrors 7, 8. The degree of distortion is adjusted by variation of the angle # between the two mirrors 7, 8. The object 3 may be the real image of a scene. A method of producing trapezoidal distortion, as disclosed in Specification 399,654, is referred to, in which a lens is inclined both to the object and image. The lens 4, Fig. 2, may be part of the envelope of the cathode ray tube, and a spirit-level 6 may be provided.
