Abstract

412,905. Viewing invisible objects. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London.-(Assignees of Alexanderson, E. F. W. ; 8, Adams Road, Schenectady, New York, U.S.A.) Sept. 26, 1932, No. 26702. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Sept. 26, 1932]. [Class 40 (iii).] Invisible radiation from an object 6 is focused by a lens 5 to form an invisible image in the plane of a disc 1 having two spirals of scanning apertures. One spiral scans the invisible image, the picture currents in the circuit of the cell 9 being amplified and applied to a lamp 13 cooperating with the second scanning spiral to produce a visible image viewed through a lens 14. A filter may be used in conjunction with the lens 5 to exclude visible radiation, and the apparatus may be rotatable.
