Abstract
460,732. Pressure-regulating valves. BRITISH BRASS FITTINGS, Ltd., and SPERRYN, W. J. G. Nov. 5, 1935, No. 30531. [Class 135] A diaphragm - actuated pressure regulator has the valve member in the form of a disc g of substantial thickness adapted to work through a clearance opening in a cross partition f. The disc has three or more upstanding radial ribs h of which the outer edges are substantially in alignment with the peripheral surface of the disc so that when the disc is below the partition the ribs keep the valve axial with respect to the opening. The disc also has an integral or separately formed upstanding spindle j on which the centre of the diaphragm is secured. A ring n is fitted to the end of the spindle or to the nut securing the diaphragm to facilitate removal of the diaphragm and valve member when the cover e is removed.
