455,341. Plant. DEUTSCHE WERKE KIEL AKT.-GES., 114, Werftstrasse, and SCHMIDT, F., 109, Niemannsweg, both in Kiel, Germany. April 6, 1936, No. 10117. [Class 7 (ii)] In a propulsion plant for ships, having one or more engines a, b for high speed travel and a separate engine c for low speed cruising, the last-mentioned engine is capable of being disconnected from its propeller f and connected to a charging pump k for the engines a, b during high speed travel. The engine c drives the propeller f through a reversing gear g, and the pump k, through a clutch h and a transmission or change-speed gear i, which is built onto, or incorporated with, the pump k.
