[Class 114] Marine variable-pitch propellers 5 have their casings filled with, and lubricated by, a liquid which is heated by a heat exchanger 33, to reduce the viscosity, of the liquid. The heat exchanger is supplied with heat by the lubricating or cooling medium of the engines 2. A separate lubricating liquid may be used if desired.
