[Class 7 (iii)] A Diesel oil engine is provided with a combustion chamber which is bounded by a spherical surface 1 on the cylinder head and by a parallel spherical surface 2 on the head of the piston, the surfaces having a common centre 4. The piston may have a rim 3 to prevent the jets 5 of fuel from impinging on the cylinder walls.
