Abstract
439,412. Drawing - board easels. HOLMES BROS. (LONDON), Ltd., and HOLMES, H., Billet Road, Walthamstow, London. May 21, 1935, No. 14833. [Class 52 (v)] A drawing-board easel comprises a fixed frame 9, 10 in which a further frame 1 is slidable, the fixed frame having foldable legs 26 held in position by a hinged cross-piece or shelf 32 and the movable frame 1 having means 5 for adjustably supporting a drawing board. A hand lever 19 is pivoted at 20 on the fixed frame and is connected by a link 18 to the movable frame so that operation of the hand lever causes adjustment of the height of the drawing board. A captive peg 22 co-operating with apertures in the fixed frame locks the lever 19 and movable frame in any selected position. A wing nut 16 on the bolt connecting the link 18 to the movable frame may be used to clamp this frame to the fixed frame. A drawer 35 slides in runners 36 on the under side of a shelf 37 hinged on the upper part of the fixed frame.
