Abstract
343,519. Folding chairs. TAYLOR BROS. (SANDIACRE), Ltd., Midland Foundry, Sandiacre, near Nottingham, and MATTHEWS, J. D., Newquay Golf Club, Newquay, Cornwall. Nov. 20, 1929, No. 35484. [Classes 52 (ii) and 52 (iii).] In a folding chair wherein the back and leg rests are interconnected by parallelogrammic linkage, the arm rests 3, which form part of the linkage are held stationary, being secured to the legs of the chair. The legs 1, 2 are pivoted together and to the rear of the arm rest, the connection to the front of the arm rest being wholly or partially detachable to permit folding. An adjustable foot rest 7 mounted on a toothed rack 16, Fig. 6, may be provided. The back 5 can be swung forwardly into a horizontal position to permit use of the structure to support a table top.
