Abstract

418,168. Sliding - clasp fastenings. WALDES, J., 478, Ulice Krßle Jiriho, Prague. Feb. 13, 1934, No. 4734. [Class 44.] In a fastener of the type with two stringer tapes having fastener elements sewn thereto which are brought into interlocking engagement by a sliding member, the sewing lugs b of the elements are of plate form and arranged at right angles to the element proper c and lie flush with the front edges of the elements, leaving the rearward parts of the side edges i, i<1> free for engagement by the slider member. The elements are sewn to the stringer tape n by stitches h through the lug aperture a and by stitches j over the neck f. A front covering band m extending to the middle of the front edges of the elements c may also be secured by the stitches h, j passing through a bent back flap thereof. The rear portion of the slider consists of two guiding lugs s<2> extending from the usual wedge-shaped neck s<1>.
