Abstract

412,006. Rotary engines. MURAKAMI, M., 33, 2-Chome, Ichigayakagacho, Ushigomeku, Tokio. March 29, 1933, No. 9524. Convention date, April 22,1932. [Class 110 (ii).] A rotary engine or pump of the geared-vane type comprises two or more discs 2, 3, coupled by two sets of elliptical gears 4, 5 and 7, 8, through an intermediate shaft 6. The engine may be driven by combustion gases, steam, or air. The casing and discs are cooled by water which flows from an inlet 22, through the chambers 24, 25, and along the hollow shaft to an outlet 23. Several engine cylinders may be arranged around the shaft 6.
