Abstract
407,512. Spray carburetters. NILSSON, A. L., S÷dertõlje, Sweden. Feb. 10, 1933, No. 4142. Convention date, Feb. 11, 1932. [Class 7 (iii).] Compressed combustible mixture or burnt gas from an engine cylinder 13 is conveyed to the nozzle 10 of an injector 8 which induces fuel through a conduit 7 from a well 4, supplied from a float chamber 1 connected by a conduit 5 to the air intake 6. The conduit 5 may be opened to the atmosphere by a valve 21. The quantity of fuel traversing the conduit 7 is controlled by a valve 22 which is connected to the throttle valve 25 through levers 46, 48, 47. The outlet 11 of the injector is surrounded by a jacket 17 containing exhaust gases or hot air some of which may enter the member 11 through openings 20. To ensure a uniform flow of fuel during idling, part of the heating media is conveyed to the conduit 7 through a passage 24 controlled by a valve 23 connected to the throttle 25 through a linkage 49, 51, 50. An enlargement 16 in the conduit 12 reduces fluctuations of pressure in the injector nozzle. Specification 407,511 is referred to.
