Abstract
391,761. Side carriers for cycles. LEVIN, M., 102, President Street, Johannesburg, South Africa. July 30, 1931, No. 21742. Convention date, Aug. '18, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 136 (iii).] A side carrier for attachment to a pedal bicycle, and adapted to carry a passenger or goods, comprises an upper rectangular frame A .. D and either a body or an open or closed container, and is connected to the bicycle by a front stay R clipped at G to the down tube, and by two rear stays bolted to the saddle pillar lug &c., and to the rear wheel spindle. One of the rear stays S is telescopic, with a clamping device for adjustment. The wheel of the carrier is mounted within a loop U, with its spindle carried in lugs L, M. Two struts are secured between the carrier and the stay S and wheel spindle respectively.
