Abstract
376,136. Auxiliary air admission; exhaust ejectors. KONSTANTINOFF, J., 19, Rue Vernier, Paris. Oct. 29, 1931, No. 29966. Convention date, Oct. 30, 1930. [Class 7 (ii).] A rotary pump K supplies air to a number of nozzles I arranged in the induction conduits between the carburetters and the inlet valves. The opening of these nozzles, a valve V in the compressed air supply pipe T<1> and the carburetter throttles are controlled conjointly. There are two carburetters to four cylinders, the admission conduits being bifurcated into passages a ; the nozzles are directed in the line of flow of the mixture. All the admission conduits are cast in one block, which also contains a main conduit B from the pipe T<1>; branch pipes b<1> supply scavenging air to the cylinders. Exhaust ejectors.-The pump also supplies air to an ejector R<1>, Fig. 6, which draws out the products for two cylinders ; a regulator S is provided on the air supply pipe T2.
