368,002. Mixing-machines. PNEULEC, Ltd. and PRITCHARD, P., Mafeking Road, Smethwick, Staffordshire. Jan. 21, 1931, No. 1976. [Class 86.] A mixing-machine of the edge roller type for foundry sand comprises one or more rollers mounted on cranked shafts in a head carried by the spindle, positive adjustable stops being provided for limiting the extent to which the rollers approach the bottom of the pan, and stirrers, alternating with the rollers, mounted on vertical, positively-driven spindles carried by the head. The rollers g are carried in cranked shafts h, and the head is fitted with studs l passing through apertures on the crank arms j ; the studs are fitted with nuts p, m, and springs n whereby the downward movement of the rollers is limited, and their upward movement is resisted by the pressure of the springs. The stirrers r are mounted on vertical shafts q driven by spur gears thereon meshing with a fixed central gear, or by bevel gearing.
