[Class 7 (ii ).] In multicylinder engines wherein a portion of the exhaust from one cylinder is added to the charge in another, the cylinders are arranged in pairs with an exhaust chamber e between them, a valve d controlling the flow of the exhaust into and out of this chamber. The valve may be worked from the cylinder or piston.
