Abstract
352,026. Boxes. FAIRBROTHER, H., 30, Ludgate Hill, London.-(Kari-Keen Manufacturing Co., Inc. ; 7th Street, Sioux City, Iowa, U.S.A.) April 2, 1930, No. 10481. [Class 18.] A trunk, with one part A fixed and the other part B hinged or sliding, is looked in open position for use as a luggage carrier by a hook fastening C, D provided with a lock. The fastening consists of an eye D engaged by a hook C having a latch member 35 carried by a spring 36 and provided with lugs projecting through the base and engaging behind the eye. The latch is withdrawn by a cam 44 pivoted to the latch and actuated by a handle 42 which, when the part B is moved to closed position, is engaged by the part B and reset ready for further action. The trunk parts A, B may have interengaging flanged edges acting as stops.
