The bolt-operating knob c is blocked against accidental retraction by a plate a rotatably mounted on a fixed axis behind the knob and having a slot b<2> adapted to receive the pin of the knob so that when the plate is turned through a right-angle from the position shown the knob cannot be moved. Lugs a<1> on the plate are provided for turning it and projections a<2> at the back thereof engage slots b<1> in the front of the casing. A cranked bolt projecting through the casing to lie over the hasp as described in Specification 205,740 may be used.
