Abstract
377,281. Folding chairs. FRANCIS, J. K., 58, Frances Road, Erdington, Birmingham. April 23, 1931, No. 12018. [Class 52 (ii).] In a foldable deck chair each side bar 5, 6 is in two parts pivoted together at 4, and held in extended position by a detachable pin 11 which also engages the strut 10. The strut 10 is pivoted to the outer side of the member 7. On removing the pins 11, the seat may be folded up as shown in Fig. 2, and may be secured in such folded condition by inserting the pins in other holes provided in the frame members. Additional holes 10b may be provided, whereby the slope of the frame members may be adjusted. The transverse frame members may be made detachable.
