[Class 7 (vi).] In a two-stroke engine having the exhaust controlled by a valve e rotating at half-speed, the cam shaft d controlling the inlet valve is arranged opposite the exhaust valve, and in order that it may also be driven at half-speed, is provided with two cam swells k at 180‹. The two shafts are driven by helical gears g meshing with a single gear h on a shaft f driven by bevel gearing i.
