Abstract

Induction pipes, fittings for.-In an extra-air admission device of the type in which a spring- loaded air valve 12 is carried by a flange-shaped body 3 fitted between the carburettor and induction pipe, a deflector 6 is provided on the side of the body 3 adjacent the carburettor so that a partial vacuum below the air-inlet orifices 7 facilitates the entry of air into the mixture stream. The valve 12 bears on a seating 11 provided at the outer end of a chamber 8 formed integral with the body 3. The valve is operated by a Bowden wire 14 to control gauze-covered ports 15 formed in a housing 10 which is secured to the body portion 3.
