Abstract

405,346. Spray carburetters. REID, P. H., 118, Strathearn Avenue, Montreal West, Quebec, Canada. April 10, 1933, No. 10948/32. [Class 7 (iii).] To reduce the feed of fuel during overrunning of the engine, extra air is introduced into the slow-running mixture. The depression existing in the induction pipe is transmitted through a pipe 39 to a valve chamber 22 to open in succession, during overrunning, valves 25, 26 to allow air to enter through ports 29 into a chamber 35 whence it passes through a port 36 into the induction pipe above the throttle valve 34 and tends to neutralize the suction therein.
