Check or non-return valves.-A poppet or non- return valve comprises a stem c, h, a head b, and depending vanes g formed with the valve head, the vanes being curved somewhat spirrally, as shown, so as to give rotation during flow, even wear, and reseating in different positions. The lower part of the stem is guided in a spider guide e and the upper stem c in a detachably screwed cage-like spider guide d.
