Abstract

Stoppers, sealing-devices for.-A closure for tins comprises diametrically opposite punch lines d on the flange of the tin and enclosing perforations c, a permanent lid having cut-away portions a adapted to leave exposed the punch lines d when the lid is applied to the container, and a temporary lid applied over the permanent lid and provided with rivets b adapted to spring into the perforations c to lock the lid on the container. On removing the outer temporary lid the parts of the flange of the container outlined by the punch lines d are torn away and by remaining on the lid prevent re-use thereof; the container is thereafter closed by the permanent lid which is applied so that the cut-away portions do not coincide with the torn away portions of the flange.
