199,686. Ekstr÷m, G. C. April 21, 1923. Closures completed by outstanding packing - rings.-A bottle or like stopper, comprising a central bolt 4 carrying a plug 2 adapted to expand cirumferentially when compressed between plates 3, 5 by a lever 6, is adapted for use with bottle necks of different sizes by rotatably mounting the upper plate 5 on the bolt 4 and forming it with parallel ribs 7 so that either the ribs 7 or the intermediate surface of the plate may be engaged by the lever 6 to expand the plug 2 to a greater or less extent.
