Abstract

207,976. Bentley, F. Nov. 13, 1922. Lever lids. - In tins 8 and other containers adapted to be closed by a " lever " lid 12 and provided with a seamless ring 5 inserted in the opening of the container and secured thereto by being spun or swaged at 9 on to the top edge of the container, the extent to which the lid 12 can be forced into the ring is limited by providing the ring with a circumferential bead 14 which presents no sharp edges and does not obstruct the opening.
