Abstract
298,774. Toenniessen, E. Oct. 21, 1927. Rollers and roller heads.-The cap bars a of the rollers of ring spinning - frames and the like are shaped, as by being recessed at d, so that the trunnions b of the top rollers are exposed to permit of their being cleaned by rings h of rubber, flannel, or the like, or brushes, mounted on the clearer rollers e, a scraper being fitted to clean such parts. The clearer roller clears the two upper rollers c and may also clear the self-weighted roller m, and is mounted in slotted bearings k so that it may adapt itself to the rollers; it may be made up of cylindrical parts supported at intervals by discs e<1> to which the shaft is secured.
