Abstract

Disc and like plate hinges; joint pins. - The pivot pin 9, Fig. 2, of shears, scissors and the like is screwed at 12 to engage with one of the blades 5, to which it is secured by a plate 14 formed with a non-circular hole that engages a similarly-shaped end 13 of the pivot. As shown in Fig. 3, the shaped end 23 of the pivots engages a disc 24 formed with a number of peripheral notches 27, with which is adapted to engage a pin 28 screwed into the blade 18 to lock the pivot pin in an adjusted position.
