Abstract

323,415. Schauer, J. Feb. 27, 1929. Razors, safety. - A safety razor consists of a curved plate 2 which has a stepped portion 7 and recesses 3 on each longitudinal edge. The razor blade has rectangular recesses b at the corners which engage the ends 8, Fig. 3, of the stepped part of the plate 2, and the handle screwed to a pin 6, Fig. 1, on the plate clamps the blade in position. In a modification the handle 11, Fig. 2, screws into a collar 10 on an arm 9 projecting from the plate 2. In this construction the central hole in the blade is omitted. The side edges 12 of he blade may be curved or waved.
