Abstract

Lock-mechanism, lever-type; padlocks.-In a lock or padlock having a sliding bolt or shackle c with a stump g carrying a pivoted lever h, which is slotted to receive a casing stump d, the lever h is provided with an extension m which, in the locked position of the lever, abuts against a shoulder n on the casing. The lever h may be provided with a slot bearing on the stump f of the bolt c. The outer bar o of the bolt has a lug p adapted to engage in a notch q in the casing. Additional slotted levers h<1>, Fig. 5, together with guard plates u may be pivoted on the stump d. These levers have locking notches s and hooks t to engage the stump f.
