Abstract

250,452. Corder, J. H. Aug. 13, 1925. Hoods for the rear or dicky seat of a motor vehicle and of the kind constituted by a length of material, which may form an extension or continuation of the front-seat hood and be attached thereto, are supported on two frames each comprising a telescopic upright and a telescopic longitudinal member hinged to the upright to support each side of the hood. As shown, the supporting frames comprise two telescopic tubes B'. B<2> mounted on the dicky seat back, and hinged to the tube B<2> is the longitudinal member comprising telescopic members B<3>. B<4>, and if necessary B5. The hood A supported by the frames is connected to the front-seat hood C by a piece C' which may be secured thereto or may constitute a flap thereof, the hood A preferably being secured to the flap C' and adapted to be rolled up and secured by straps A<1>, Fig. 2.
