Abstract

248,262. Kattell, S. M. Aug. 24, 1925. Razors, safety. In a safety razor the guard plate 17 is secured to a flat tubular socket 1 which receives a flat tubular stem 12 of the handle 3, the socket being slotted along its length to hold the stem resiliently. The socket has flanges 5 by which it is secured to the guard and is formed at one end with a spring clip 4 which enters the end of the tubular stem and assists in holding it in position. The blade 8 is held on the guard by the bent-over flange 7, the ends of which are cut away to permit easy manipulation of the blade, which engages a positioning lug 10 on the guard plate. The stem may be slotted and serves as a holder for use in stropping the blade.
