Abstract

247,315. Kirkup, R. H., Kirkup, F., and Thompson, J. Nov. 21,1924. Rotary sieves consist of a cylindrical drum comprising sections of varying mesh supported on rings A, B, C connected to a central shaft and divided into compartments by division plates J also connected to the shaft. Each of the plates J is formed with a cut-away portion at its periphery through which the material is passed laterally by inclined scoops H connected to the plates. The drum is mounted on and driven frictionally by rollers K, and the screen frames are secured in position on the supporting rings by sectional clamps R. Specification 127,783 is referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 120,764.
