Drying materials in long lengths.-Yarns, slivers, tops and other textile materials in the form of bands or threads 2 are dried by being subjected to a downwardly directed current of air while passing through a drying-chamber upon a pervious conveyer belt 3. In a modification, the material is conveyed through the drying-chamber by a series of endless conveyers 3, Fig. 4.
