Abstract
234,728. Lorenzen, C., and Lorenzen- Turbinen-Akt.-Ges. Dec. 20, 1924. Regulating.-The supply of supercharging air or other gases to the induction pipe of an aircraft engine is regulated automatically according to the altitude and also mechanically by the pilot. A flexible container 3 filled with air at sealevel pressure is arranged within an airtight casing 6 open at 8 to the induction pipe 10, the supply of air or other gas to which, from a compressor connection 11, is regulated by valves 1 connected to the container 3. This container is further connected by a spindle 14 to a hand lever 18, which may be connected to a distant control operated by the pilot. The spindle 14 may bo further adjustable by means of a nut 21, and is hollow and fitted with a cap 16, by removal of which the container 3 may be opened to the atmosphere at sea level.
