Abstract

119,887. Tankard, H., and Tankard & Smith. Oct. 10, 1917. Fluid governors.-To facilitate slow running of an internal-combustion engine, one wing v of a throttle vaive in the supply pipe is constructed of flexible material which does not completely close the pipe when the valve is in its normal position for slow running. Upon an increase in speed the flexible member closes the supply pipe and cuts off the combustible mixture.
