Plug stoppers, screw; sealing-devices for stoppers.-In a closure for tins, cans, &c., a screw plug stopper 1 is sealed and protected by a metal disc 3, the edge 4 of which is expanded into a groove formed inside the upper end 5 of the mouthpiece 2. An annular projecting surface 6 on the stopper co-operates with a packing-ring 7 in a groove in the mouthpiece to form a tight joint, or this arrangement may be reversed. The stopper may have a projection 8 for engagement with a hey for unscrewing.
