Leakage-preventing devices.-In a turbine with two or more tiers of blades 7, 8, packing strips 13, 14 have one or more knifeedges 15 co-operating with the cylindrical surfaces 11 of a dividing wall 6. One packing may have an axially projecting edge 21 co-operating with a shoulder 12. Several alternative methods of securing the strips are described. Specification 14053/15 is referred to.
