187,517. Macmillan, D., and McEwan, J. Dec. 21, 1921. Compression-spoke wheels.-A wheel comprises a rim a of channel cross-section and spokes of bar material. The spokes extend radially from the hub for a portion c of their length and are then bent to an obtuse angle thereto for another straight portion d and afterwards bent to lie within the rim as at e. The portions. c of adjacent spokes reinforce each other. The spokes may be formed as shown or they may be in halves and joined at the centre of the portion e. The hub b is formed with a spindle g or a hollow sleeve as described in Specification 146,696.
