Abstract

1506646 Hydraulic lifting devices JUNGHEINRICH UNTERNEHMENSVERWALTUNG KG 21 March 1975 [22 March 1974] 11968/75 Heading F1D A hydraulic lifting device comprising a pump unit 12, 13, Fig. 1, a pump operating lever 1, and a lift cylinder 5, has an adjusting device 17, 21 responsive to the hydraulic pressure in the lifting cylinder which continuously varies the leverage between the lever 1 and an actuating member 36 of the pump unit in dependence on the hydraulic pressure. As described, the pump plunger 13 is depressed by the lever 36 which carries a roller 35 and is pivoted to the frame at 37. The handle 1 moves links 31 and 29 and the latter bears on the member 36. One pivot 27 of the lever 29 is supported by a member 23 which is pivoted about an axis 25 by the adjusting device 17, 21 to vary the leverage exerted by the operating lever 1. As the pressure in the lifting cylinder rises the pistonrod 21 is extended against springs 20 and the pivot 27 is moved to the left by the member 23 so that the leverage is increased with a proportional decrease in the stroke of the pump. The device is used in a fork-lift truck. Check valves are provided in the hydraulic circuit, Fig. 2 (not shown), and are simultaneously mechanically opened to allow the forks to descend.
